The journal uses an online submission (https://jams.amgtranscend.org/) system to manage manuscript submissions, peer review, and editorial decision-making in a transparent and efficient manner.
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission platform. Submissions sent by email or post will not be considered.
The online system allows authors to:
- submit new manuscripts;
- upload revised versions;
- track the status of their submission throughout the review process;
- communicate with the editorial office when necessary.
Before You Begin
Before submitting a manuscript to Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry, authors are strongly encouraged to carefully review the journal’s Author Guidelines, ethical policies, and submission requirements. Adequate preparation prior to submission helps ensure a smooth initial screening and an efficient peer-review process.
To assist authors in preparing their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s formatting and structural requirements, Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry provides an official manuscript template. Authors are strongly encouraged to use this template when preparing their submission, as it reflects the preferred organization, section order, and formatting style of the journal.
The manuscript template can be downloaded here:

Authors should confirm that:
- the manuscript fully complies with the journal’s Author Guidelines, including scope, structure, and formatting requirements;
- all mandatory sections and declarations are included and completed in accordance with the journal’s policies, including Author Contributions (prepared using the CRediT taxonomy), Institutional Review Board Statement and Informed Consent Statement (where applicable), Data Availability Statement, Funding, Acknowledgments (if applicable), Conflicts of Interest, Role of Funders, and a list of Abbreviations, ensuring transparency, ethical compliance, and consistency with international publishing standards;
- all figures, tables, and supplementary materials are prepared, labeled, and cited in accordance with journal standards;
- all listed authors meet the criteria for authorship, have reviewed the final version of the manuscript, and have agreed to its submission.
To support authors in verifying compliance with these requirements, the journal provides a Final Submission Checklist. The checklist is designed to help authors confirm that all essential elements have been addressed before submission and that the manuscript is ready for editorial assessment and peer review.
Authors are expected to complete the checklist prior to submission. Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors have reviewed the checklist and confirm that the information provided is accurate, complete, and consistent with the journal’s policies.
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s requirements, or that contain incomplete or inconsistent information, may be returned to the authors for revision during the initial editorial screening, which may result in delays in the review process.
