{"id":12348,"date":"2026-02-02T19:59:50","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T16:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biointerfaceresearch.com\/?page_id=12348"},"modified":"2026-08-21T13:10:28","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T10:10:28","slug":"journal-history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/biointerfaceresearch.com\/?page_id=12348","title":{"rendered":"Journal History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry<\/strong>\u00a0was established in 2011 and published its first issue on 15 February 2011 as an open-access scholarly journal supporting peer-reviewed research in applied chemistry and related interdisciplinary fields.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The journal was founded with the objective of facilitating the dissemination and exchange of scientific research involving chemistry, materials science, biological systems, biointerfaces, and related areas of applied research.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In <strong>2014, publishing responsibility for Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry was transferred to AMG Transcend Association<\/strong>, which has since been responsible for the journal&#8217;s publication and publishing infrastructure. Scientific evaluation, peer review, and manuscript-level editorial decisions are conducted through the journal&#8217;s editorial structure in accordance with its published editorial policies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Over time, the journal has developed its editorial policies, peer-review procedures, research-integrity requirements, open-access practices, and digital publishing infrastructure in response to developments in scholarly communication and the disciplines represented within its scope.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The journal has been indexed in <strong>Scopus since 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry continues to review and develop its editorial policies, scope, publishing practices, and technical infrastructure in order to support transparent, independent, and responsible scholarly communication.<\/p>\n<p>Information concerning the journal&#8217;s current indexing and abstracting status is provided separately on the <a href=\"https:\/\/biointerfaceresearch.com\/?page_id=12344\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Indexing and Abstracting<\/strong><\/a> page.
