With 6 issues per year, Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry is an open access journal, making all research results freely available online.
In addition to publishing regular review and research articles, the journal also publishes ‘Hot Topic’ thematic issues that are guest-edited by scientists in their areas of research. The number of contributions in each issue may vary from 5 to 20 manuscripts for Hot Topic Issue. Thematic issues are particularly widely-read and cited.
We invite you to consider submitting a proposal to edit a theme issue in a hot topic area. Your proposal should contain Title, Aims and Scope statement, keywords, your Curriculum Vitae including a list of your publications, a list of possible contributing authors and their institutional affiliations. Guest Editors will be in charge of inviting papers, of supervising the refereeing process, and of making decisions on the acceptance of manuscripts submitted to their special issue. The Guest Editors are also expected to write an editorial paper for the special issue. Special issues focus on more specialized topics with high current interest falling within the scope of the journal. We always welcome special issue proposals at any time.
All submitted proposals and manuscripts will be peer-reviewed prior to a possible decision on acceptance for publication.
Rapid publication: manuscripts are peer-reviewed and published within 30 days; accepted papers are immediately published online.
